Wireless
The Zulu 3 is the practical ForeFlight headset. Bluetooth carries the iPad audio. ComPriority ducks it when the radio or intercom talks. A patch cable is also in the box, and FlightLink can record audio on an iPhone or iPad. That is a Lightspeed app, separate from ForeFlight.
The A30 does the wireless job with Bluetooth 4.2 and includes a 3.5 mm cable if you want a backup wire. The battery cost of leaving Bluetooth on is the 25-plus-hour rating instead of 45. The DC ONE-X is the David Clark way to get Bluetooth, near $1,020.

Wired
The KA-1 has a 3.5 mm jack and no Bluetooth. Plug the phone or tablet in with your own cable, and set the headset's mono/stereo switch to match the audio panel. This is a good setup for a student who wants traffic alerts without buying ANR. It is a bad setup if you wanted a wireless cockpit. The KA-1 is passive only.
The P1 also has a 3.5 mm jack, at $124.95. It is the budget pick, and it is passive, with no ANR and no Bluetooth. The cable is not in the box list. The RA200 also has a 3.5 mm jack, at $99.99, with foam seals and a 7-year warranty. Use the RA200 if the lower price or the longer warranty is the point and you still want a wire. The standard H10-13.4 does not have an AUX jack. Do not buy that David Clark expecting a ForeFlight cable to have somewhere to go.
A limit on all of them
App audio in the headset is only as good as the volume balance. Set the tablet so a chime is audible and a radio call is louder. Try it on the ground with the engine running before you depend on it. None of these headsets, including the KA-1, change the rule that you fly the airplane first.
