Verdict. The P1 is the budget pick in this comparison at $124.95. It is passive only, with no ANR and no Bluetooth, and the warranty is 1 year. The Rugged Air RA200 is the lower-price, longer-warranty alternative. The KA-1 is the better passive headset when the budget reaches $224.95.
KORE Aviation makes the P1. The same company makes the KA-1. That is why this page states the limits in the same breath as the recommendation.

What KORE publishes
The P1 product page listed the headset at $124.95 on October 26, 2026. The feature list says mono, 50 mm neodymium speakers, foam ear seals, an adjustable headband, a foam head pad, a built-in volume control, an adjustable wire mic boom, an electret noise-canceling microphone, dual gold-plated plugs, a 5-foot straight shielded cord, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a 1-year warranty serviced in the United States. KORE's FAQ says the headset does not have active noise cancellation. The FAQ does not restate the warranty period.
The general spec sheet repeats foam ear seals, a mono speaker connection, an NRR of 24 dB, stainless hardware, and dual plugs (0.206-inch mic and 0.250-inch headphone). It lists the weight as 19.4 oz. It does not say whether that ounce figure includes the cable, and it does not publish 1.19 lb. This page uses 19.4 oz. It also lists "Volume Control Attenuation: 23 dB." That is the volume control, not a second noise rating.
The box list on the product page is the headset and an extra mic muff. The FAQ says the same, and says a bundle adds a bag. A later marketing block on the product page says an included bag. Those lines disagree. This review follows the box list and the FAQ. A separate listing, "KORE P1 General Aviation Headset with Bag," was $139.95. Gel seals are not in the $124.95 feature list.
KORE's page calls the 24 dB NRR "50% higher" than an industry standard. This site does not repeat that comparison. The 24 dB figure is KORE's. No certified attenuation table was found on the product page.
Where it fits
The P1 is the budget pick on the homepage and on the under-$200 guide. The job is a new dual-GA headset under the KA-1's $224.95 price, for short lessons, a passenger, or a spare. It is passive only. It has no ANR and no Bluetooth.
The RA200 is the alternative to read before checkout. It was $99.99 on sale at Rugged Radios, about $25 less than the P1, with a $105 regular price on the same page. Rugged lists 16.24 ounces, a bag in the box, and a 7-year warranty. The P1's warranty is 1 year. The P1's published weight is 19.4 oz, higher than 16.24 oz, with the cable question above left open. Buy the RA200 when the lower price, the bag, or the longer warranty is the point. Buy the P1 when you want KORE's $124.95 passive headset and you have accepted the 1-year warranty.
The KA-1 is the step up, and it is the best passive pick. It adds silicone gel seals, a volume control on each ear, a mono/stereo switch, and a 5-year warranty, at $224.95. It is still passive, with no ANR and no Bluetooth. The P1 page does not document those KA-1 controls. Sound mode on the P1 is mono.
Gaps
No Amazon product URL was verified for this update, so this page does not invent an affiliate link. The weight with the cable separated from the headset was not on the public spec sheet. Whether the 3.5 mm cable ships in the box was not in the box list. This site has no acoustic measurement of its own.
Questions pilots ask
Does the KORE P1 have active noise reduction or Bluetooth?
No. KORE's FAQ says the P1 is passive, with a stated 24 dB NRR, and that it does not have active noise cancellation. The product page does not list Bluetooth.
How much does the KORE P1 weigh?
KORE's general spec sheet lists 19.4 oz, about 1.21 lb. The sheet does not say whether the cable is included. It does not list a 1.19 lb with-cable figure. The Rugged Air RA200 page lists 16.24 ounces. Those published figures are not a matched with-cable weighing.
How does the P1 compare with the Rugged Air RA200?
The P1 lists at $124.95 with a 1-year warranty. On October 23, 2026, Rugged Radios showed the RA200 at $99.99 on sale, $105 regular, with a 7-year warranty, a bag, and a listed weight of 16.24 ounces. The P1 costs more, the warranty is shorter, and the published weight is higher. Both are passive foam-seal headsets with a 3.5 mm jack and no built-in Bluetooth.
What is not confirmed on the P1 page?
This site has no product photo of the P1. The box list is the headset and an extra mic muff. A marketing line on the same page mentions an included bag, and the FAQ says the bag is a separate bundle. This review follows the box list. The page does not document a volume knob on each ear or a mono/stereo switch. It does not say the 3.5 mm cable is in the box. No separate certified attenuation table was found. No Amazon listing was verified for this update, so the button goes to KORE.
Should I buy the P1 or the KA-1?
Buy the KA-1 at $224.95 when you can, for gel seals, per-ear volume, a mono/stereo switch, and a 5-year warranty. The P1 at $124.95 is the budget pick, with foam seals, a 1-year warranty, and no ANR or Bluetooth.
Will the P1 plug into a Cessna 172?
Yes, if that 172 uses the usual dual GA jacks. The P1 plugs are a 0.206-inch mic plug and a 0.250-inch headphone plug. It will not plug into a U-174 helicopter jack.
Is the P1 24 dB figure a certified NRR?
No. KORE states 24 dB, and the spec sheet's 23 dB line is volume-control attenuation, not an NRR. The P1 lists at $124.95 and is passive only.
What is the KORE P1 warranty?
One year, serviced in the United States, on the feature list. The RA200 warranty is 7 years. The KA-1 warranty is 5 years, at $224.95.
