How we work
Editorial standards
A headset wins a category when it fits that job on published specs and the price checked that day. An affiliate payment does not move it up or down.

How a pick is chosen
Each guide names one job. The winner is the headset in the comparison set that fits that job. The method, including what is not measured, is on How we test.
A higher price does not win by default. A KORE product does not win by default. KORE Aviation makes the KA-1, the P1, and the H1. Those three are reviewed with the same fields as the other headsets. The KA-1 is the best pick for student pilots and the best passive pick in this comparison. The P1 is the budget pick.
If two headsets are close, the page says what you give up with each one.
Affiliate links
Amazon links on this site use the Associates tag already attached to those URLs. If you buy through an affiliate link, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That payment does not change which headset wins a category. The ranking is written from the job and the published specs. The link is attached after.
Manufacturer pages are linked without an affiliate tag.
If a maker pays
A payment from a product's maker does not change the ranking. Nothing on this site is a sponsored placement today. If a sponsored item were added later, the label on that item would say sponsored. No such item is on the site now.
